Russia and Myanmar will cooperate to protect their citizens and ensure guarantees of their rights and freedoms
Relevant agreement was ratified at the plenary meeting
The State Duma ratified the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on mutual protection of citizens from abuse in the field of international justice.
The document was submitted by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The agreement is aimed at promoting constructive cooperation to protect citizens of both countries and guarantee their rights and freedoms. The parties undertake to refrain from interfering in each other's sovereign affairs through international or national criminal justice or assisting a third party in using international or national criminal justice.
