“Authoritarian regimes rule
in modern Europe and they use slogans about democracy as a smokescreen. They lecture
others how to live, but they themselves cannot be followed as good examples,”
said the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin
Vyacheslav Victorovich
Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation (Elected in a single mandate electoral district № 164 – Saratov district, Saratov Oblast)
at the final plenary
meeting.
He emphasized that Russia had never interfered in the affairs of other states. “We do not lecture anyone; we believe that everyone should choose their own path, and if you want to set an example, then go ahead, but remember that you are responsible for your actions. And when someone lectures others but does not set an example, it is wrong. But it is good that we have begun to understand this,” stressed the Chairman of the State Duma.
