The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
recalled in his Telegram channel that the week before the Parliament of Sweden adopted a bill that allowed minors to legally change their
gender not having a surgery. He emphasized that the document was adopted, even
though the country's citizens did not support that: 59% of respondents were
against it. Earlier, the Bundestag also passed a law allowing German citizens, including
children, to change their gender every year, added Vyacheslav Volodin.
“Germany and Sweden are not the first countries to simplify the process of changing gender. Finland did this in 2023, and Spain in 2022. Norway, Britain, Denmark had already done it. Scotland went even further: starting from April 1, 2024, a law came into force there, according to which for the incorrect use of pronouns when addressing transgender people, you could be sentenced for up to seven years,” stressed the Chairman of the State Duma.
According to him, active propaganda has led to the fact that gender reassignment operations have become a profitable business. “Last year, this market approached $1 billion. The average annual growth rate is forecast at 12% — many times higher than the GDP growth of the European Union, the USA and the UK,” noted the Chairman of the State Duma.
“The current situation in Europe and the USA is a catastrophe, a real human tragedy. Many people, adults and, most sadly, children, have crippled psyches and destinies: in the United States alone, the number of minors diagnosed with gender identity disorder has almost tripled since 2017,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to the Chairman of the State Duma, “the policy of the European Union, the USA and the UK, promoting rapid gender transition, as well as legislative simplification of the process of changing gender, are the path leading to the degeneration of their nations.”
