The Parliamentary Commission on Investigation of the Crimes Committed by the Kiev
regime Against Minors would send an appeal to Roskomnadzor to protect children
from threats posed by video games, as said the Deputy Chairwoman of the State
Duma Anna Kuznetsova
Kuznetsova
Anna Yurievna
.
According to her, the Commission obtains information about Kiev’s attempts to influence children by online games, as well as to form a pro-Ukrainian teenage gaming environment in Russia.
“Such activities are controlled by closed departments of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Center for Information and Psychological Operations, and its representatives in the Kiev, Vinnitsa, and Kharkov regions. Militants use social networks to communicate with schoolchildren and induce them to take destructive actions. Many channels and private chats in the Russian-language segment, promoting terrorism, extremism, and suicide, are moderated in Ukraine by SBU agents. And, unfortunately, there are often also minors among these moderators. Recruitment of schoolchildren is, of course, not a unique case. They have created an entire shadow structure, and recruited children themselves can act as tipsters or manage groups,” stressed Anna Kuznetsova.
According to the Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma, several game development studios send money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “Children and participants in processes, including online gamers, do not know that the money they pay will be later donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” added Anna Kuznetsova.
“We should create our content, prioritize issues in accordance with the national interests of the country. I propose to send an appeal to Roskomnadzor and Rospotrebnadzor with a proposal to develop relevant measures to protect children from threats created by the Kiev regime in video games,” said Anna Kuznetsova. The parliamentarian added that there were attempts to recruit schoolchildren: children were promised to get money after completing tasks, and were also offered to release “a person they know who were allegedly held hostage.” That system is supervised by school administrations.
Anna Kuznetsova also mentioned the issue of legalizing marijuana in Ukraine. She is convinced that it will pose a threat not only to Russia, but also to Europe.
“We see how the process of providing legislative support for the drug industry is being promoted. In 2021, a bill to legalize marijuana was introduced to the Verkhovna Rada. It has already been adopted in the first reading. Although the law has not yet been adopted in the final reading, the government has already developed draft regulations. We understand that it is a matter of time before this norm is adopted,” said Anna Kuznetsova.
“If the draft law is adopted, legal drug trafficking will take place in Ukraine, and that will threaten not only Russia, but also Europe. We have already recorded attempts by the SBU to distribute drugs among Russian minors,” she added.
