Đình Huệ discussed issues of development of inter-parliamentary cooperation
between the two states and the agenda of the second meeting of the Inter-parliamentary
Commission on Cooperation between the State Duma and the National Assembly of Vietnam which will be held on October 16.
The Chairman of the State Duma thanked the Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic for the invitation to pay a visit to Vietnam. “Today we use again the usual format of our meetings. I would like them to be systematic,” he added.
Vyacheslav Volodin noted the investment of leaders of the two states to the development of relations between Russia and Vietnam. “It is important to make our own contribution to the development of relations between our nations within the parliamentary dimension,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.
According to Vyacheslav Volodin, cooperation between Russia and Vietnam “is more than just partnership but relations between strategic friends”. “In this regard, we should find new formats to develop our relations, do everything possible to develop mutual beneficial cooperation, increase trade turnover between our states and we would know about each other more,” said the Chairman of the State Duma.
The Chairman of the Parliament of Vietnam stressed that the Republic supported the development of cooperation with Russia in various fields.
“We are pleased with the success of Russia achieved during the presidency of Vladimir Putin. We are glad that Russia withstood, that you maintained social stability and successfully held a single voting day in September. We are also glad that, despite the sanctions, the Russian economy has survived and overtaken Germany,” said Vương Đình Huệ.

of Vietnam to pay an official visit. On Monday, October 16, there will be held
the second meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between
the State Duma and the National Assembly of Vietnam in Hanoi. Parliamentarians
plan to discuss issues of providing legislative support to cooperation between
the two states in the fields of energy and transport, information technology
and agriculture, science and higher education, financial and interbank
interaction.
