But their actions against Russia have affected themselves, as noted the Chairman of the State Duma: “The criminal activities against our country have been ineffective.”
“As emphasized Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin at the Eastern Economic Forum, Russia has earned twice as much as Washington and Brussels have frozen Russia’s gold and forex reserves,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.
Among other results noted by the Russian President at the Eastern Economic Forum the Chairman of the State Duma drew attention to the active trade between Russia and Asia-Pacific countries, the number of states that are ready to cooperate with Russia is constantly increasing; the results of 2022 showed that Russia was in the list of top five largest world economies in purchasing-power-parity terms, the jobless rate is only 3%; the logistics chains affected by the Western sanctions have been restored; the country plans to continue to develop logistics routes in the Far East regions, including the Northern Sea Route, the high-speed highways through Siberia and the Far East to the Pacific Ocean are being build.
Vyacheslav Volodin also added that the Far East “is our strategic priority for 21st century”: “Its role, as well as role of our country in the world, will only increase”.
“Washington and Brussels had plans to make our country weak and then to divide it, as American and European politicians have already repeatedly stated that. But they have failed. They have lost the trade war against Russia that they started,” concluded the Chairman of the State Duma.
