The Chairman of the State Duma stressed that recently former German Chancellor Angela Merkel admitted that together with former President of France Francois Hollande, they had deceived the international community.
“Having signed the Minsk agreements, they did mot want to comply with these agreements, but only used them as an opportunity to militarize the Kiev regime and prepare it for military actions against civilians in Donbass and Crimea,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to the Chairman of the State Duma, it is quite obvious that “European states will have to pay for the current situation in Ukraine”, first of all, Germany and France, while Washington “is washing its hands” in such situations.
The German government decided to put the blame on Russia for all the problems created by the former authorities, and they planned to seize Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine, added the Chairman of the State Duma.
“If there is such a decision, we will have the right to take tit-for-tat measures and seize the assets of Germany and other states,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin. “Now the reality is different: not only in compliance with the UN Charter, but also on the basis of precedents,” he added.
The Chairman of the State Duma also recalled the situation related to the recognition of Kosovo: “The United States of America, Germany, France and other states that have made such decision have no other choice but to support the right of South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Crimea, the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as Kherson and Zaporozhye regions for self-determination.
“There are no selective solutions, the rules should be the same for everyone. The same rules should apply to the seizure of assets and property,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin. “That could lead to such a situatuion when all states will begin to ignore international law, take those things if they want them,” he added.
The German authorities should remember from the history of their own country the results of the attempts to encroach on other’s property, stressed the Chairman of the State Duma.
