The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
met with the President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Vyacheslav Volodin conveyed warm greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Relations between Russia and Türkiye are developing dynamically largely due to the contribution of the presidents of our countries. The State Duma and the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye should do everything to provide legislative support to the decisions taken by the leaders of our states. In this regard, it would be right to implement new formats of cooperation within the parliamentary dimension. Together with our colleagues, we agreed to hold a meeting of a high-level inter-parliamentary commission in 2023. We also discussed the possibility of holding a Conference of Speakers of the Parliaments on Countering Terrorism and Strengthening Regional Connectivity in 2023,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.
The Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin paid an official visit
to the Republic of Türkiye. Vyacheslav Volodin met with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Mustafa Şentop. The speakers discussed
issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
