Chairman of the State Duma asked to consider an issue of a denunciation of the Treaty on Cooperation with Norway in the Barents Sea and the Arctic Ocean
The Treaty concerning maritime delimitation and cooperation was signed in 2010

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
at the plenary session asked the Committee on International Affairs to consider that issue.
The issue of denunciation of the Treaty was raised by the representative of the CPRF faction Mikhail

. According to him, then Russia had conceded 175 thousand square kilometers
of the Barents Sea to Norway. Now Norway does not let deliver food and cargo to Svalbard, as said the parliamentarian.
