called for joining efforts of the CSTO member states to protect sovereignty.
“We work openly, so we are ready to discuss in detail our legislative experience in countering foreign interference in case of interest,” he said following the joint meeting of the CSTO PA standing commissions on defence and security, on political affairs and international cooperation, and on socioeconomic and legal affairs, which was held on May 17 via videoconference.
Vasily Piskarev added that the meeting participants also discussed information provided by the Russian side about the investigation into the activities of biological laboratories in Ukraine. In March, the State Duma appealed to the UN and the CSTO PA urging to conduct the relevant investigation. “The preliminary results of the ongoing investigation and the fact that the organizers of those laboratories are trying to hastily cover their tracks of their experiments give grounds for asserting that the activities of those laboratories created by the United States in Ukraine pose a serious biological threat not only to people living in neighboring areas and the environment in those territories where they are located, but also to the whole planet,” emphasized the Chairman of the State Duma Committee.
Vasily Piskarev noted the need to “continue to work at joining efforts of the CSTO member states to counter external threats and protect sovereignty of our countries on a regular basis.”
