“Such a sharp tone of the recent Washington Post’s publication demonstrates that the US political elite
is annoyed with strengthening of Russia’s sovereignty, as it can disrupt plans
of the Western state to influence the elections in Russia and bring their
agents of influence into government structures. Such words like “Biden must
keep the pressure on” in the headline motivate the US President to support extremists,
foreign agents and those organizations recognized as undesirable in Russia,” said
the Chairman of the Commission on the Investigation of Foreign Interference in Russia's Internal Affairs Vasilii Piskarev
Piskarev
Vasily Ivanovich
.
The parliamentarian noted the fact that “the influential US newspaper mentioned all those individuals, media and organizations involved in destructive activities and needed support of their overseas curators to continue to perform their activities aimed at undermining the country's sovereignty.”
“And that is just one of the publications with ant-Russian attitude that media in the Western countries has published in recent days, as we have said before. By the way, the same Washington Post was annoyed with the successes and the presence of the Russian athletes at the Olympic Games in Tokyo,” stressed the parliamentarian.
“That is obvious that the policy of “Russia’s determent” has failed, and the realization of makes anti-Russian politicians in the United States to continue to call on President Biden to impose new sanctions and increase pressure on Russia,” concluded Vasilii Piskarev.
