Deputy Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vladimir Bozhko also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as interaction within the framework of international platforms, such as the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Customs Union, the Eurasian Economic Union, the United Nations, and the Collective Security Treaty Organization, were discussed at the meeting. The issues of interregional cooperation of border territories were raised separately.

The parties also discussed the importance of sustaining interethnic and interreligious consent for the development of our countries.
“Our closest contacts allow us to say that the attitude towards our citizens, towards our compatriots in Kazakhstan is at a high level,” said the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma.
Noting the high level of bilateral relations, Sergei Neverov and Zhanseit Tuimebayev agreed on the further development of cooperation at all levels.
“Our good neighborly relations, our strategic partnership will only be strengthened,” said Sergei Neverov.
At the end of the meeting, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, on behalf of the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, presented Sergei Neverov with the Medal of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, which is the highest award of public recognition and encouragement of Kazakh and foreign citizens for their contribution to strengthening unity and stability, socio-economic and social development of Kazakhstan.
