According to the parliamentarian, Guaidó, in particular, may not be entitled to hold a public office in Venezuela for 15 years as a result of the trial.
“But in order for the judicial procedure to be clean, the issue of parliamentary immunity, which Guaidó received as a result of the elections to the Venezuelan parliament, shall be resolved,” said Novikov.
Earlier, leader of the Venezuelan opposition, Speaker of the Parliament Juan Guaidó, who proclaimed himself President of Venezuela, was stripped parliamentary immunity by the decision of the Constituent National Assembly of Venezuela.
